Solitvde Reverb1.4

Publisher Description

Solitvde is a modulating shimmer reverb AUv3.

We've packed early reflections, a diffusion engine, a modulation tank and a feedback delay network into one streamlined signal path, all tuned to run light on CPU.

Inside the recirculating tank, a few granular pitch-shifting lines give a glassy, climbing shimmer.

It's built around one principle: tweaking a parameter never introduces a click or a pop. Every control is modulation-safe from the get-go, which opens up a whole second range of expression and modulation to explore.

Two tempo-syncable LFOs, a random source, and an envelope follower tracking the input can route to almost any control, so the space and time of the reverb fold in on themselves to give us solitude, at long last.

FEATURES
- Eight-line feedback delay network: Size, Density, and a true RT60 Decay in seconds.
- Recirculating octave and fifth shimmer voices.
- Two-pole tail damping that can roll off the high end.
- Freeze as an amount, rather than a toggle, to hold the tail indefinitely.
- Multimode filter (low-pass, high-pass, band-pass) in multiple signal placements, plus a low cut to prevent rumble accumulating.
- Pre-delay, early reflections, stereo width, and mix controls.
- Modulation matrix: two LFOs, a random source, and an envelope follower, routable to almost any control. Assign a source on a fader. LFOs sync to host tempo.
- Factory presets to start from, plus the option to save your own.

COMPATIBILITY (macOS)
Runs standalone and as an AUv3 audio unit. Compatible with Logic Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand, and any host that supports AUv3 effects on macOS 14 or later.

COMPATIBILITY (iOS)
Runs standalone and as an AUv3 audio unit. Compatible with GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, and any host that supports AUv3 effects on iOS 17 or later.

Version History Solitvde 1.4 opens up two more destinations in the modulation matrix.

Features:
- Filter Q and Mix can now be modulation targets. These were both asked for in an App Store review. Thank you, it was a good idea.

Fixes:
- On macOS, popover corners now match the panel they sit in.
- Slight UI performance improvements. 1.4 Sep 26 Solitvde 1.3 is a big feature update.

New:
- Adds a new Reverse shimmer mode. The shimmer voices read their grains backwards, smearing transients and transforming the texture of the tail.
- Exposes a grain control for transforming the period of the shimmer voices.
- Exposes two modulation-only parameters in the Motion section - Warp & Ensemble.
- The envelope follower gained an onset Delay and tempo-sync. Its Release and Delay can lock to note divisions, so the follower breathes in time with the host.
- Side-chain input. Add a second input, so an external signal can drive the modulation in supported hosts.
- A new Level fader replaces the separate swell and output gains. Put it before the tank for reverse-style swells, or after it for ducking or tremolo.
- A fresh set of factory presets, plus five that show off the new features directly: reverse, long grains, side-chain ducking, synced swells, and warp with ensemble drift.

Improvements:
- Deeper Warp (±12.5 ms) and Ensemble (12 ms) modulation.
- Retuned the envelope Attack and Sensitivity ranges onto log tapers.

Fixes:
- Fixed a click when Size sat at 0%. The fader now floors at 1%.
- The manual button opened an unrelated app on some iOS layouts. It now opens the manual inside the plugin everywhere. 1.3 Jul 27 Solitvde 1.2 is a small stability and polish update.

Fixes:
- Fixed a rare crash when loading Solitvde in some hosts. Certain audio buffer sizes, common when routing through Bluetooth output, could crash it as it started rendering.
- Fixed occasional clicks from the Warp modulation at larger audio buffer sizes.

Improvements:
- Smoother transitions when switching between modulation sources in the source view.
- Removed the last memory allocations from the audio render thread, one less source of dropouts under load. 1.2 Jul 21 Solitvde 1.1 comes with some new features and fixes a few core issues.

Features:
- There's now the ability to change filter placement. It can be re-routed from the default, post-tank to either before the tank, or inside the tank's feedback loop.
- The in-loop filter has some subtle character, a low-pass darkens the tail, a high-pass thins it, and a band-pass focuses it as it recirculates.
- Freeze now holds the tail cleanly at any amount, and the middle of the fader is a long, playable sustain instead of only holding near the top.

Fixes:
- Dragging or modulating Size, Density, Width, and Damping now applies at sample rate, so fast modulation stays impeccably clean.
- Fixed some cases of resonant filters exploding the tank.
- Fixed an issue where small freeze and shimmer combinations accumulated too much low-end. 1.1 Jul 18 1.0 Jul 13
